3. Data collection on this website

Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are: browser type and browser version, operating system used, referrer URL, hostname of the accessing computer, time of the server request and IP address. This data is not merged with other data sources. See the „Hosting with IONOS SE“ section for details on processing by our host.

Cookies and local storage

This website does not use tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies. Only technically necessary data is used: your language preference is stored via a cookie (NEXT_LOCALE), and your theme preference (light/dark) is stored in your browser's local storage (localStorage). Both serve solely to display the website according to your settings and are not evaluated for analytics or advertising purposes. No separate consent is required for these purely technical purposes (§ 25 para. 2 TTDSG, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR).

Contact

If you contact us by email, your information including the contact details you provide there will be stored with us for the purpose of processing the request and in the event of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b or lit. f GDPR.

Registration and customer account

If you register for the OpenEOS platform or create an organization, we collect and store the account data required to perform the contract (e.g. name, email address, and organization details). Processing is carried out to fulfil the usage agreement pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR and is not shared with third parties beyond what is necessary for contract fulfilment.

4. Hosting with IONOS SE

This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. When you access the website, our host automatically collects and stores server logfiles transmitted by your browser (including IP address, date and time of the request, page requested, browser type and version). We have a data processing agreement with IONOS pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR, which obliges IONOS to process the data of our website visitors solely on our instructions and for the contractually agreed purposes, and to protect it appropriately.

5. SSL/TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as requests you send to us as the site operator, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of your browser changes from „http://“ to „https://“ and by the lock icon in your browser's address bar.

6. Storage duration

Unless a more specific storage period is stated within this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for the data processing no longer applies. We delete contact inquiries once they have been fully processed, provided no statutory retention obligations apply. Data from a customer account is stored for the duration of the contractual relationship and beyond, in accordance with commercial and tax law retention periods (generally 6 or 10 years).
